Eastern Eye is Britain’s biggest-selling English-language Asian newspaper. Published weekly since 1989, it remains one of the country’s iconic media brands with a readership in excess of 500,000.
Eastern Eye has been a powerful voice for the Asian community for nearly four decades. Our award-winning news coverage, commentary, and investigations have won accolades across the country and abroad.
Eastern Eye offers an unrivaled blend of news, business, sport, lifestyle features, religion, arts, and culture, along with thought-provoking features and interviews with the leaders and influencers who are shaping our world today.
Eastern Eye’s rigorous, impartial journalism has uncovered institutional racism, highlighted discrimination and misogyny, and shone a light on wrongdoing. Our campaigns and bold journalism over the decades have undoubtedly helped create a more level playing field for ethnic communities.
Published every Friday, the newspaper is read by the pan-South Asian community in Britain—those of Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, and Nepalese decent.
Every year, we publish The Asian Rich List, profiling the 101 wealthiest South Asians in Britain, and also the GG2 Power List, which ranks and profiles Britain’s most powerful Asians.
We are also hosts of annual black tie events celebrating and spotlighting the success of the Asian community across a range of sectors. These include the Asian Business Awards, the GG2 Leadership & Diversity Awards, the Eastern Property Awards, and the Eastern Eye Arts, Culture, and Theatre Awards (ACTAs).
